ZWorld Ch5 It was humid as the night grew colder. Rain was coming. Kim walked into her house. Nathan had offered to stay with her, but she refused. She wanted to be alone. So many things had happened that day that she needed a break. She wanted to think and yet she didn't want to think. She put her shoes by the front door and turned on the kitchen lights. She dug through the cabinets and fridge and grabbed a few snacks then hopped on the couch and flipped on the television. Anything to distract herself. Unfortunately, all that was on was the news, but it worked. She sighed, exhausted.

Of course there was Nathan and herself, but aside from her sensing abilities, neither of them had any other known power. She was speechless - awestruck. This guy, this normal guy, had the power of fire. It was all suddenly so real and that scared her. She didn't know what to do or what to say. So she did nothing but stare into the face of the one who conjured the flame.
