Busyyy D:Commissions | YouTube | Art Tumblr
Apologies for being rather inactive recently. It seems like I get busier and busier as times goes by. I just wanted to post a quick journal update to let ya'll know that I'm still around, just going to be fairly delayed in getting to messages (No idea how long this'll last, but I'll try to get to everything when I can!)

Post Convention + Online StoreCommissions | YouTube | Art Tumblr
Phew, I'm all done with cons this year! It was an exhausting two weekends but I learned a lot, had fun, new experiences and met some nice people.
Feel free to watch my video vlog about it (and some other updates/details):
I'm also selling some leftovers in my online store: http://myfluffy.storenvy.com/
I'll be periodically adding more as time goes on and I get more supplies to ship with. (Mostly just stamps and envelopes atm, lol.) If there is anything specific that isn't listed yet, let me know and we can discuss
For those looking for t-shirts, those are available here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/myfluffy/shop
I'll be taking a break on big
2014 Cons [Miami Supercon + Tampa Metrocon]Commissions | YouTube | Art Tumblr
Just as an update/reminder, I'll be in the artist alley of two upcoming conventions
Miami Supercon July 3-6:
Tampa Metrocon July 11-13:
My first year going to two conventions and they're a week apart, I'm definitely nervous! I don't think I'll have everything I had planned done until the day we head out, haha.
Anyway, Alex (:iconmentalisttraceur will be helping me again at my booths and if anyone is going and feels like going to the exhibitor halls, my brother Jeremy (:iconchromonite will be there too (#907 at Miami and K13 at Tampa)! Feel free to stop by and say, "Hi!"
Watching SNK [Finally!]Commissions | YouTube | Art Tumblr
Me updates (feel free to skip): Finally getting settled into the new apartment. Boy was that ever a pain. The internet company we were trying to use (and ended up using) took FOREVER to set things up. Long story short, we have internet and are now living here full time. We still have a few more things to migrate (that's being done tonight) and then it'll just be unpacking! WOO!
ANYWAY, onto what this journal is about. I'm finally getting around to watching 'Attack on Titan'! Not only that, but I'm finally getting around to doing the video project I've been meaning to which is REACT videos! I'll be posting episodic reaction videos to each SNK episode on my YT
Hello March!Commissions | YouTube | Art Tumblr
Hello! I haven't made a journal in a while, sorry about that. It just seems like time is flying by yet I haven't done anything Hope ya'll have been well I guess this will be a general life update journal? I know, boring stuff, haha.
I've been trying to get ahead on convention stuff unlike the past two years. This year is a little more hectic since I'll be going to two o-o I'm gonna try to spice things up a bit, get a little fancier with the display and offer a wider range of products. I'm not too worried, it's only March and the cons aren't until July (and one week apart! ). Though I know I'll get behind if I let myself

2014 Resolutions :)Commissions | YouTube | Art Tumblr
I can't believe it's the end of the year already. It feels like my last resolutions journal was written yesterday XD It's kind of been a crazy year, lots of ups and downs and such. I don't expect the next year to be any less of a ride, but here's hoping it'll be a more entertaining and enjoyable one at least
Feel free to post your own in response to this journal.
-Keep pushing on with studies and practices. Experiment more, go out of my comfort zone as often as possible!
-Try to incorporate some more backgrounds; do larger pieces like "Floating World"
-More 'The Koi Life' drawings; at least once a month ;3;
-More traditional pieces (any medium)
-Go darker in portraits; face my fear! (try not to rush though them just to get them

Drawing Exercises (Ideas for Artists!)Latest News
So I'm trying to get into the routine of doing studies and practicing every day. As days and days past, I realized that the same ol' way of doing things can get boring after a while. I wanted to try to make things more fun, so I thought of doing some exercises! Sadly, with all my Google searching, I found nothing. Luckily, with some inspiration of other artists and friends, I managed to get some ideas. Seeing as how hard it was to find any, I figured I'd share them in case any of you need some inspiration.
Keep in mind, these are NOT prompts! These are exercises for studies and practicing. (Though you're welcome to combine them with prompts but they were designed specifically for improving your skills.)
Drawing from Imagination (Thanks Sycra!)
1. Find a picture you wish to reference from.
2. Write notes about the image. What does it look like? Shape? Colors? Values? Whatever you want to study.
3. Hide the picture

SO it's been a while since my last journal x'D (Warning, long boring journal ahead. Feel free to skip to parts you care about, or just this whole journal, whatever.)
As a quick update for people who don't know: the con went well, actually profited, hoping to go next year! (If you must, you can watch me awkwardly talk about it here P: )
Things are up and down as far as productivity goes. I really need to kick myself in the butt to get stuff done.
I have five more Avengers portraits to do before I finish up that project. As far as who is showing up next, it'll be either Hawkeye or Coulson. (I'm trying to keep the harder people for last LOL omg Thor's and Natasha's hair ;3; ) I'm hoping to get them all done before October... >_>
I also have two contests that I want to enter. I have my ideas for both but they end the first of September and I wanna finish one picture before I start them sooooo...good luck to me XD

Creating your own MangaIntroduction
You have a great story, a bunch of characters and you want to create a manga. However, where do you start? Do you have it Left->Right or Right->Left? How should you publish it (*note: some publishers may have additional requirements/restrictions)?
The process is pretty much the same for any graphic progression such as comics.
Luckily, there are a great number of tutorials to help you on your way.
A storyboard is a panel or series of panels which detail the sequence of significant events in a planned scene, i.e. a rough sketch coupled with some words to describe the actions in the scene.
At this point you'd need to have an idea of whether you are making a left->right or right->left manga.
Photoshop tutorial- PS basics 4I'm back with my journal tutorials for Photoshop. I didn't post any new journal tutorial in a while. Anyway, my previous tutorial you can check here. I'll describe some Photoshop basics for everyone who try to learn to use Photoshop. So in this article you'll find tutorials: Tilt-Shift, Customizing brush 2, Lens Flare, Mask Tool,.
If you wish to see images in full resolution then simply click on the images below (they are big 1920 x 1080 px). I used Photoshop CC here, so some things may be different in lower PS versions. But most of things may be the same in all PS versions. I'll make even more tutorials like this, so stay tuned. And if you like it, then you can fav this article. Thank you and enjoy. I hope it's helpful. More tutorials by me you can see in feature below.
PE: How to Scan and Adjust ImagesTutorial Time: How to scan and adjust images on Photoshop!
Hello everyone, welcome to this tutorial article of PE week!
well, you know, there is this youtube channel where there's lots of videos regaring tips, tricks and general advice for artists, and it is the best I've seen of the kind. But sadly, it is only in portuguese - hence why cinyu came up with the great idea of getting me to translate one of their videos!
I decided to pick up this one regarding scanning and adjusting images on photoshop, because that is one of the most basic, yet worst parts for many traditional artists. This tutorial is mostly for scanning black and white works, so it'll be more useful if you're working on manga/comic pages or inked art, but I hope it'll give you some ideas and help out in general on how scanning works.
I'll be translating the most important parts of the video, along with screenshots. Let's get started!
Things you'll need:
When It's HardHi folks! I realized in my most recent round of blogs that I've been a little quick to tell you all to put on your grown up panties, but this one is going to be a little different. Making art can be one of the most exhilarating things you'll ever do, but (and this is from personal experience also) 80% of the time you're going to fail. You'll spill your ink all over that glorious drawing. Oil from your hands will permanently stain only the portion of paper that was meant to remain a snowy white. Your computer's hard drive will crash or all your image files (all the WIPs especially) will get corrupted. You'll try something new and it just won't work out the way you envisioned. These things are the parts that aren't really spoken about enough, and so when they happen to us we assume that we're doing something terribly wrong. I'm here to tell you that we all go through these things and there's always a solution!
When you're not improving

Scanning And Photographing A/M WorksIntroduction
A traditional artist faces a great challenge after finishing an artwork. How do they get it on their computer to upload and show the world?
There are two main options: Scan or Photograph. Both of these come with a horde of challenges and this article is to offer a starting point for the artist to experiment and find the best solution for their art.
There are a number of type of scanners, the most common domestic peripheral being the flat bed scanner. This article focuses on using a flat bed scanner and not a wand or other type of scanner.
First things, the scanning bed must be as clean as possible, clear off dust and pet hairs before attempting to use and make sure the scanner is on a stable surface for scanning. Some scanners will be sensitive to direct sunlight being on the outside, if you find that your artworks get a strange bright spot, do check that section of your scanner isn't being exposed to direct light.

Inspector Wolf The old lady was dead. I could smell it before I even got into the house. The whole place reeked of adrenaline, sweat, fear, copper and steel. He’d dropped her right in her living room. Chopped and chopped until she stopped moving. But I could tell I was getting close. This had been done in a hurry, and the killer didn’t have the time to clean up after himself like he usually did.
Across the room, the phone rang. The shrill sound set my teeth to grinding, but I ignored it. Instead I followed the killer’s bloody footprints into the back bedroom. He’d climbed out the window. If I hurried, I could catch up to him and end this disgusting spree he was on.
Then the answering machine kicked in. “Hi, Gramma! It’s Red. Sorry I’m running late. I kind of lost track of time. But don’t worry. I packed the picnic and I’m heading out the door right now. Love you.”
She’d been expec
